What are the driving directions to the cottage?
Your reservation form will provide you with the directions to the Seashack. We are located near the Wickaninnish Inn on Chesterman Beach.
Are pets allowed?
The Seashack Cottage accepts well-behaved pets whose owners agree that they will remain in the mudroom of the Seashack.
What should I bring to wear?
We suggest the following:
The best clothing to bring is casual, layered pieces with perhaps a synthetic fleece-type top or warm sweater and a wind-proof jacket. You will also want to have long pants for the evening and for any boating you might be planning. Hiking shoes or boots are ideal footwear, or a durable sandal for warmer days.
All weather gear and layered clothing
Waterproof walking or hiking shoes
Hats and sunscreen
What can I expect from the weather?
The west coast is a temperate rain forest climate. You will experience all types of weather here, from hot and sunny to stormy windy and rainy (sometimes all in one day!) The summer months are usually mild and warm, but remember that you are on the ocean and often there is a breeze. But no matter what type of weather you have, we're certain you will enjoy the natural splendour of Tofino, Pacific Rim National Park and the wild west coast.
What time can I check in (and check out)?
Check-in time is 4:00 pm. Check-out time is 11:00 am. We would ask that you respect these times as our property manager Netty needs the time to prepare the Seashack for arriving guests.
